I was born and raised in Garland, TX. As a child, our family attended First Assembly of God that was located on 3rd Street in Garland. It was there, when I was ten years old that I received Christ as my personal savior and gave my life to him. I knew from that day on what I wanted to be; a preacher and a warrior for God.
I graduated from Garland High School in 1966 and then attended Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, where I received a Bachelor degree in Christian Ministry, in 1970.
I married my beautiful wife, Gloria, in 1976 and we attended her father's church; which was Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church located on Shady Lane here in Garland. After a few years of attending I became associate pastor and worked closely with Rev. John Nedbalek. He was a great mentor to me. Upon Rev. Nedbalek's failing health, he felt led of the Lord to ask me to take over the full pastorial duties of Faith Tabernacle church. I did so willingly, expecting him to return as pastor. However, this was not God's intention. Rev. John Nedbalek passed away in June of 1999 and I was unanomously voted in as pastor in the months following his death.
My wife and I have two children; our son, Jared, and our daughter, April. Both children have blessed our lives with seven grandchildren.
